(b - BaB2O4 or BBO)
BBO
having the unique combination of the major properties of nonlinear
crystals are the best candidates for NLO application in the
VUV (vacuum ultraviolet) and visible area. BBO is an efficient
NLO crystal for the second, third and fourth harmonic generation
of Nd:YAG lasers, and the best NLO
crystal for the fifth harmonic generation at 213nm. Our BBO
are widely used in Tunable lasers: Dye lasers, Ultrafast
Pulse lasers, Ti:Sapphire and Alexandrite
lasers, Argon Ion and Copper-Vapor lasers. BBO's
OPO and OPA are powerful tools for generating a widely tunable
coherent radiation from the UV to IR.

(LiB3O5
or LBO) Due
to the very high nonlinear optical properties , the LBO crystal
is very suitable for harmonic generation of high-intencity
laser radiation in vacuum ultraviolet and visible spectre.
LBO allows to achieve the highly efficient SHG of nanosecond,
picosecond, cw and diode laser pumped
Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF
lasers for R&D, medical, industrial and military applications.
The superiority of LBO is proved for the SHG of Ti:Sapphire,
Alexandrite and Cr:LiSAF laser radiation
as well as for optical parametric amplifiers and oscillators pumped
by Excimer lasers and harmonics of Nd:YAG
lasers. To have a good transmission in the UV allows to obtain
tunable UV and VUV radiation by SFG in LBO.
|

-
Broad transparency range for UV-range (to .16 mm)
-
Type I and type II non-critical phase matching (NCPM) over

-
High damage threshold (> 10 GW/cm2 for 10
ns laser at 1.064 mm)
-
Wide acceptance angle and small walk-off
-
High optical homogeneity Dn •
10-6/cm |

(KTiOPO4 or KTP)
KTP
is the most suitable material for the visible and near UV NLO
applications. KTP is commonly used for frequency doubling of
Nd:YAG lasers and other Nd-doped lasers,
particularly when the power density is at a low or medium level.
Extra- and intra-cavity frequency doubled Nd:lasers using KTP are preferred pumping source for visible
dye lasers and tunable Ti:Sapphire
lasers as well as their amplifiers; being also very usefull
sources for many reseach and industry
applications.
