Description |
Forsterite:
Pulled boules grown by the Czochralski method,
250-300 Car. weight, sawn pieces also. Has an excellent color change
from purple in daylight to blue in incandescent light.

Alexandrite
(Chrysoberyl): Pulled boules grown by the Czochralski method,
weight 300-500 Car.5-8 mm thick slabs weighting 20-30 to 100-200 Car.
This material has an excellent color change from bluish green in daylight,
to purplish-red in incandescent light.
I.R. - 1.74; H - 8.5; D - 3.75. Cutting angles: Pavilion
- 42°; Crown - 40°.
Red
Ruby: Cylindrical boules up to 90 mm. in diameter, several kilos
weight. Excellent bright red ruby color.
